Los Angeles Art Conservation brings 30 years of museum experience to private collectors and public institutions. Our conservators have worked with museums, and we follow the same standards and methods in our own studio.
Every treatment begins with a careful examination of the work. We identify the materials, how the piece was made and any signs of deterioration before we recommend a course of treatment. Our work is guided by ethical conservation practice and respect for the original artwork.
What We Treat
Our paper conservation work covers Western prints and Japanese prints, along with modern art on paper, library materials and parchment documents. We also treat photographs, posters and ephemera.
For objects conservation, we work with three-dimensional artworks and artifacts. Each object is stabilized and repaired with attention to its structure and appearance.
Beyond treatment, we offer condition reports with high-resolution photos and technical examinations. Collectors and institutions can also request insurance evaluations, collection surveys, storage consultations and preservation risk assessments.
